Jonathan has been involved with the BASSC since 2012 and was elected to their executive committee in 2020. He certified as a teacher in 2022 and has regularly taught in London since. He also arranges action for amateur and low-budget stage & screen projects.

Jonathan primarily teaches at ID Fight, where he teaches most weeks. Since joining them in 2016, Jonathan has become a veteran member of staff, leading both certified courses and skill development workshops. Elsewhere he has worked and volunteered at the British National Stage Combat Workshop, Moving Body Arts, and various drama schools and universities in the UK.

Outside of stage combat Jonathan has a background in judo, was a competitive gymnast, and is a certified gymnastics coach with over a decade of teaching experience. He is also a chartered accountant and works as a QA manager in an accounting software development team. He currently shares his financial expertise with the BASSC as Treasurer.
