Wolf originally trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech & Drama, graduating from the three-year acting course in 1985. Since then he has worked as an actor, fight director and stage combat teacher.

He has taught stage combat at RADA. The Central School of Speech & Drama, Mountview, Guildford Acting School, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Middlesex University, The Poor School, LISA, Marymount and The City Lit.
