Richard Ryan is an internationally acclaimed Fight Director, whose work has been seen worldwide. He has accumulated over 300 credits including Film, Theatre, Opera and TV.

His film work includes Fight Arranger on the new Batman film, THE DARK KNIGHT , which is currently filming.

At the end of last year he was Fight Arranger on THE GOLDEN COMPASS based on the Philip Pullman novel, His Dark Materials. The film is due for release in 2008. Prior to this he was Swordmaster/Fight Choreographer on both STARDUST and THE LAST LEGION, both films are due for release in August of 2007.

He is perhaps most noted as Swordmaster/Fight Choreographer on TROY for which his Achilles v Hector fight (Brad Pitt & Eric Bana) was nominated for both Taurus World Stunt Award & MTV Award in the Best Fight category.

Other film work includes Morning was Broken, How the West was Won, The Duel, Steam, Iced as well as performing and supplying additional fight choreography for The House of Angelo, Pirates, Treasure Islands & Swordplay.

‘Master-at-Arms’ to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Richard has taught stage combat extensively both nationally and internationally.
