Chris Main

Certified Teacher

Christopher Main received his teaching certificate from the BASSC in the year 2000. He also holds an MA in Theatre Practice (1996) and a PhD in Shakespeare Studies (2001), both granted by Exeter University. He currently teaches on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Exeter. He is the in-house Fight Director for the British Touring Shakespeare Comoany and also offers a series of freelance classes in the South West of England. He is the lead editor of the Chronicle of the Sword. Christopher’s recent work includes productions of Hamlet, Cyrano de Bergerac, Sweeney Todd and the Scottish Play. Shows he has worked on have played throughout England and Scotland, and have reached as far as the USA, Prague and Dubai.
