Beginners’ classes at the City LitGreat Stage FightsThis is a year-long course administrated by the City Literary Institute (www.citylit.ac.uk) consisting of three 12 week terms. The weekly class is team-taught by BASSC certified teachers. The course teaches the student about technique and safety in the use of Rapier & Dagger and Unarmed Combat, with emphasis on the theatrical presentation of each system.The course is practical, with the students observing and then participating in the techniques and exercises, while being closely watched by qualified personnel. The focus of the third term is preparing the student for the BASSC Fight Performance Test (FPT), which is at the end of the third term. No prior experience is necessary for participation in this course. Where?Classes are held at the City Lit, 16 Stukely Street, London WC2B 5LJ - the nearest tube is Holborn. How much?Fees are currently £320 (£160 concessions) per year for the Great Stage Fights course, or you can pay on a termly basis. Or £160 (£80 conc) for Fighting For Film.
